S60 3rd Edition FP1 Unicode Font Hack

Need Chinese, Japanese, Korean display on your Euro/NAM S60 3rd FP1 phone?  How about Hebrew?  All covered with this hack.  Only works with S60 3rd FP1 (not FP2) and obviously, you need a phone with a card slot, so no luck for the N95-2/-4 8GB.  Sorry.  ):  Method is Mac/PC/Linux agnostic; doesn't matter which one you use.

Here's how you do it:

  1. Download the ZIP file here: http://www.mediafire.com/?wvyyxngxm2i
  2. Turn off your phone and take out the memory card.
  3. Plug the memory card in a reader and throw it in the computer.
  4. There is only one folder inside it, named "resources."  Extract that folder into the root folder of your memory card, i.e., not under any other folder.
  5. Disconnect the card reader and plug the card back into your phone
  6. Turn the phone on and gloat in triumph:

Ta da!
